While Easter Sunday might be the time to gorge yourself on as much chocolate as possible, its Good Friday which many of us look forward to because of the delicious seafood consumed then. The tradition of only eating seafood on Good Friday stems from the Roman Catholic custom to not eat red meat, poultry or pork on Fridays, to acknowledge and do penance for the death of Jesus.
This year there is heaps to choose from for your Good Friday feast. You could try some shallow fried flathead tails coated in panko breadcrumbs and a side of thick homemade chips, some pan fried King Dory served with a green salad, baked Atlantic salmon with rice and Asian greens, prawn linguine with chilli or maybe a pizza topped with fresh local marinara mix.
