Just like last month we want to showcase another of out winter wonders. This time it’s the amazing Bass Straight scallop which will become available from the start of July.
Locally caught by Victorian fishers, Bass Strait scallops are a delicious treat available from July through to December.
Wrap them in prosciutto and sear them in a frying pan with melted butter, thread them on a skewer and grill them or add them to your favourite stir fry along with crispy greens.
Fresh scallops are rich, sweet and juicy to taste and slightly firm in texture. A tasty local treat to be enjoyed while the season lasts.
