Each pack of fresh Bass Strait scallops contains 250gm of shucked and cleaned fresh scallops (with roe attached), enough for 2 adult serves.
Locally caught Bass Strait scallops are a delicious treat available from July through to December. Wrap them in prosciutto and sear them in a frying pan with melted butter, thread them on a skewer and grill them or add them to your favourite stir fry along with crispy greens. Fresh scallops are rich, sweet and juicy to taste and slightly firm in texture. A tasty local treat to be enjoyed while the season lasts.
Wildcatch Bass Strait scallops are caught off the Victorian coastline by local fishers. The Australian Fisheries Management Authority list this species as sustainably fished.
